This position is located in NAR's Chicago office only
Position Summary:

The Content Specialist role is responsible for creating compelling, story-driven content across a range of channels including blogs, email campaigns, social media, print materials, and program collateral. Collaborating with internal teams and partners, the position ensures all copy aligns with NAR's brand voice and target personas while maintaining consistency in tone and messaging. The role also supports the development of visual content such as infographics and short-form videos, conducts interviews for success stories, and contributes to editorial planning. Additionally, this position partners with NAR design and digital teams to deliver cohesive campaigns and helps analyze content performance using data-driven insights.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Write and edit compelling content for blog posts, email campaigns, social media, program collateral, and print.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to develop story-driven marketing materials
  • Provide clear, targeted copy aligned with personas and brand voice.
  • Create and maintain a consistent tone and messaging.
  • Conceptualize and create infographics and short-form video content across digital platforms.
  • Interview partners and members for use in success stories
  • Partner with design and digital teams to ensure written content aligns with visual
  • Contribute to content planning meetings and editorial calendars
  • Assist in analyzing content performance through data driven dashboards
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in content creation, copywriting, or marketing communications
  • Experience writing for multi-channel campaigns, including digital, email, social media, and print
  • Familiarity with member-based organizations or B2B2C marketing is a plus
  • Ability to craft clear, engaging, and audience-specific content aligned with brand voice and messaging
  • A positive communicator who understands, when necessary, how to have hard conversations.
  • Experience conceptualizing content for infographics and short-form videos
  • Familiarity with video scripting, basic editing, or collaboration with creative teams
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Occasional travel to conferences (10%)

Compensation: $70,000-$85,000
