Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care that addresses both mental health and developmental needs of our young patients.
  • Respond to mental health emergencies by providing crisis intervention and support tailored specifically for children and adolescents.
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the individual needs of each patient, evaluating their mental health landscape comprehensively.
  • Develop, implement, and refine personalized treatment plans that address specific developmental stages, family dynamics, and cultural considerations.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and ADHD.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders, available resources, and effective treatment options to empower their involvement in the care process.
  • Deliver family therapy sessions, guiding parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing environment conducive to the child's development.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to strengthen collaborative practice and improve care quality.
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to continually enhance treatment methodologies and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. By engaging meaningfully with this young population, your work will directly influence their emotional well-being and development, promoting healthier futures.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field is required.
  • A valid and unrestricted LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LPC, or equivalent in California is necessary to provide behavioral health services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and child-centered approach to care.
  • A proven ability to establish rapport with young patients and their families, building trust and facilitating open dialogue.
  • Experience using electronic health record systems and maintaining accurate documentation efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse, multidisciplinary team of professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology to enhance service delivery.
  • Prior involvement in community outreach or education regarding mental health resources for families.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range of USD 80,000 to 122,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
