Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while still being an integral part of our collaborative team. Emphasizing a telehealth framework, you will utilize advanced technology to connect with patients and families, conduct assessments, and implement treatment plans, all while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to understand the specific needs of children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each patient’s developmental stage and family dynamics.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address diverse mental health concerns.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at fostering a supportive home environment.
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide coordinated care.
• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies involving children and adolescents.
• Educate patients and families about mental health issues, effective treatment options, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in team meetings, consultations, and professional development sessions to enhance your skills.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry to continually refine your approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. You will play a pivotal role in their journey towards recovery by delivering compassionate care tailored to their unique experiences and developmental requirements. Establishing trust and rapport with both the young individuals and their families is crucial in ensuring effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in the state of California; candidates with associate licenses are not eligible for this position as they are not billable through Medicare.
• Comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and family therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to care.
• Strong ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
• Capacity to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience

Experience in providing therapy to children and adolescents with behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances is highly valued. Familiarity with telehealth practices, as well as knowledge of local mental health resources, will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

• Annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 122,000, commensurate with experience.
