With a culture rooted in professional values, they provide a sophisticated environment where business professionals collaborate to navigate complex legal challenges. They specialize in providing high-level legal services across various practices, fostering a workplace that emphasizes quality, responsiveness, and positive professional relationships
The Opportunity
This is a three-month contingent opportunity for a skilled Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) to provide essential support to IPT (Intellectual Property and Technology) attorneys in the Wilmington office. The role is designed to ensure the smooth operation of administrative functions within a fast-paced environment, covering a leave of absence. You will act as a key liaison between attorneys, legal teams, and information governance resources, managing critical workflows and ensuring deadlines are met with precision.
The Location
Wilmington, Delaware, serves as a major hub for legal and corporate services, offering a vibrant professional atmosphere. The office is centrally located, providing easy access to the city's legal district and local amenities. This position requires a regular in-office presence, allowing you to collaborate directly with the team in a professional, high-energy setting.
What You Will Do
  • Provide practice-specific support to multiple associates and partners, prioritizing work based on unique practice requirements.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, communications, and presentations to ensure absolute accuracy.
  • Manage complex calendars and coordinate day-to-day information governance and records management tasks.
  • Oversee billing matters, including processing prebills, addressing attorney questions, and ensuring final bills are delivered timely.
  • Organize and monitor assignments within the firm's workflow tool, including time entry and expense reimbursements.
  • Collaborate with Legal Support Assistants (LSAs) and Legal Executive Assistants (LEAs), providing guidance and delegation on various projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and third parties through professional email and voice correspondence.

Who You Are
  • Experience: You possess a minimum of two years of administrative experience specifically within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Education: You hold a High School Diploma or GED; however, a Bachelor's degree in legal studies or business administration is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: You are highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with legal software such as iManage, Aderant, or Zoom.
  • Legal Knowledge: You have a general familiarity with legal terminology, documentation, and law firm best practices.
  • Work Style: You are confident, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and remain productive under pressure.
  • Availability: You are available for a 3-month contract, working onsite in Wilmington, DE, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
The Ideal Candidate is a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal setting and possesses an unwavering attention to detail. You are a "trusted advisor" to your attorneys, demonstrating the discretion necessary to handle confidential and sensitive matters with the utmost professionalism. Beyond technical skills, you are adaptable and willing to learn new tools-including AI-powered applications for document production-while maintaining a positive, collaborative attitude when supporting a diverse team.
Why Join the Team?
This role offers the chance to work within a prestigious global organization where your contributions directly impact the efficiency of a high-performing legal team. You will gain exposure to sophisticated legal workflows and high-level technical tools while working in a professional onsite environment in Wilmington. With a competitive hourly pay, this position provides a stable, structured schedule and the opportunity to build relationships within a firm that values excellence and professional growth.
