The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is seeking applicants for a part-time Front Desk Receptionist in our Academic Support Center to work Monday - Thursday evenings. 

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for assisting students with scheduling appointments using WC Online
  • Politely and professionally greet students, faculty, staff, and visitors who enter the center
  • Handle administrative duties throughout the shift (checking and responding to emails, printing ATP forms and tests sent by professors, filing tests, completing exam spreadsheet daily, completing testing roster, making copies, and checking for students testing with accommodations, etc.). 
  • Monitor video recording of the testing room for students testing and the computer lab
  • Be sure all students are following the center policies. 
  • Must be able to manage a multi-phone line system and direct calls accordingly. 
  • Proficient with Excel/Google Docs
  • Able to work independently in a high-volume environment
  • Able to work well with students, faculty, staff, and visitors
  • Assist with filing, event planning, assist with evening workshops hosted by the SSC, and monitoring ESP tutoring classrooms

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative setting.  Must have strong customer service skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be organized, and be able to work independently. 

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree with 3-5 years of administrative experience.
