Position Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant will assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company aircraft under the direct supervision of experienced maintenance personnel. This is an excellent opportunity for newly certificated mechanic who is interested in growing both personally and professionally in a very demanding, but unique and special environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Aircraft Maintenance:
  • Assists in performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company aircraft in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, FAA regulations, and company procedures.
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and avionics discrepancies.
  • Document all maintenance actions accurately in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
  • Support line maintenance and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all Part 91 operational and maintenance requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director Of Maintenance or Aircraft Program Managers.

Hangar & Facility Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the hangar, work areas, and maintenance office.
  • Operate, inspect, and perform basic servicing of ground support equipment (GSE), including Mototok, Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, Ladders, Jacks, GPUs, and Tow Bars.
  • Report any GSE malfunctions and assist with minor repairs or coordinate for service as required.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained in compliance with safety standards.
  • Support trash disposal, floor cleaning, and other general facility upkeep duties as needed.
  • Maintain safe and clear workspaces by promptly cleaning up fluid spills, debris, and other hazards. As well as restoring work area cleanliness/organization and inventorying tooling post work.
  • Assists in managing Jet Fuel Inventory

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and drawings
  • Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening

Preferred:
  • Technician with 1-2 yrs. Experience in a corporate/private sector.
  • Experience operating GSE or maintaining hangar equipment
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance tracking software (e.g., CAMP, Flightdocs)

Work Conditions:
  • Work performed in hangar and ramp environments
  • May require irregular hours, including nights, weekends, or on-call duty
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces or elevated surfaces
  • Exposure to noise, vibration, and occasional inclement weather when working outside
