Data Analyst

TRC Staffing Services is seeking a Data Analyst on behalf of our client, a well-established working ranch. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys transforming data into actionable insights and supporting operational decision-making in a unique agricultural and ranching environment.

Position Summary

The Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret operational, financial, and production data to help improve efficiency, profitability, and strategic planning across ranch operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to leadership and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, clean, validate, and maintain data from multiple operational sources.

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.

  • Analyze trends related to livestock, land management, equipment utilization, inventory, labor, and financial performance.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.

  • Present data-driven recommendations to ranch management and stakeholders.

  • Monitor data quality and ensure accuracy across reporting systems.

  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Create and document data procedures, reporting standards, and best practices.

  • Assist in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Agriculture Business, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.

  • Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience with SQL and database management preferred.

  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
