Job description

The Assistant Property Manager supports the efficient operation and management of residential properties within a small team environment. Reporting to the Property Manager, this role involves tenant relations, lease administration, maintenance coordination, and rent collection to ensure a smooth and well-maintained living experience for residents. Minimal travel is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tenant relations and address inquiries or concerns promptly
  • Assist in lease management and administration
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders
  • Oversee rent collection and payment processing
  • Support property inspections and assist with follow-up actions
  • Maintain accurate property and tenant records
  • Prepare regular reports for property management review

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in property management
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of tenant relations and lease administration
  • Familiarity with property maintenance coordination
  • Skills in conflict resolution and effective communication
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with AppFolio or similar software is a plus
