As a Project Leader within the StandardAero Operating System (SAOS) team, you'll lead the execution of key business and operational projects that drive efficiency, quality, and alignment across the organization.
This is an individual contributor role. While this role does not involve direct people management, you will be fully responsible for leading and coordinating your own projects from start to finish and collaborating with stakeholders across functions and locations. If you thrive in a role where you lead without formal authority, enjoy solving problems, and can keep complex projects on track, this role is for you.
Location: On-site in San Antonio, TX or Dallas, TX
What you'll do:
  • Take full ownership of assigned SAOS projects, from planning and coordination to delivery.
  • Develop project charters, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with all contributors.
  • Track progress, manage risks, and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives.
  • Analyze project data and performance metrics to drive insights and improvement.
  • Support cross-site deployment plans and business case development.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Support SAOS project implementation, business case development, roadmap/project portfolio, and overall governance activities
  • Partner with project leads, business sponsors, IT, and transformation leaders to execute cross-site deployment plans
  • Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support automation activities for operational metrics, dashboards, and performance reports
  • Assist with root cause analysis and support corrective actions/preventative actions
  • Lead projects to optimize operating processes and workflows aimed to increase productivity, reduce turn-around-time, improve quality, and enhance quarterly delivery performance
  • Collect and analyze data related to processes and production operations systems through observations of work activities, and staff surveys
  • Develop, modify, and implement standard work instructions, process documentation and time studies
  • Monitor project health, risks, and status updates for assigned projects
  • Support production planning, capacity analysis, and line balancing improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team (quality, supply chain, and engineering)
  • Assess business systems, including source selection and implementation activities
  • Support and assist with the implementation of change management strategies

Positions Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of project management, project coordination, business analyst, or leadership experience in a cross-functional setting
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project or Smartsheet) as well as other Microsoft applications (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across teams and functions
  • Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge in building a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is required.
  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies, and understands the five phases of project management
