What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisorsโ€ฏ

OHM Advisors is seeking a Project Engineer to support and lead the delivery of site development and municipal infrastructure projects in our Huntsville office. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support the continued growth and development of communities across Alabama and the Gulf Coast region.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and experienced civil engineering staff across OHM Advisors while playing a key role in project delivery, technical leadership, and mentorship of emerging engineers. This position offers strong opportunity for continued professional growth while contributing to impactful infrastructure and development projects across our Alabama markets.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of site development and municipal infrastructure projects, including grading, utilities, stormwater management, and roadway improvements.
  • Serve as Engineer of Record and ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and permitting requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across OHM Advisors to support successful project delivery.
  • Interact with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
  • Assist with preparation of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence and continued growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Alabama, or ability to obtain Alabama licensure within 6 months.
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on site development and/or municipal infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with Alabama permitting processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
  • Interest in contributing to the continued growth of OHM Advisorsโ€™ presence in Huntsville, Mobile, and surrounding regions.
