Job description

The Mountain Operations Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and field support for all Mountain Operations departments. This dynamic role is ideal for a highly organized, adaptable professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and diverse teams. The Coordinator serves as a key communication hub for Mountain Operations, supporting managers, maintaining operational systems, coordinating uniforms, and assisting with facility safety programs while also pitching in wherever needed to support daily operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Support
  • Provide administrative support to Mountain Operations leadership and department managers.
  • Field incoming phone calls, relay information appropriately, and ensure clear communication across departments.
  • Perform data entry and maintain operational systems, including lift operations and maintenance records.
  • Assist with troubleshooting technology and system issues and serve as a resource when IT support is unavailable.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and departmental documentation.

Safety & Compliance
  • Coordinate and support facility inspections and safety initiatives.
  • Assist with organizing safety meetings and tracking related documentation.
  • Develop an understanding of operational risks and support issue identification and resolution.

Uniform Program Management
  • Manage the Mountain Operations uniform program for all departments.
  • Coordinate uniform assignments, inventory tracking, repairs, replacements, and distribution.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate uniforms and equipment in a timely manner.

Mountain Operations Support
  • Assist with various operational projects and seasonal tasks as needed.
  • Support parking operations, guest arrival areas, and wayfinding efforts.
  • Maintain racks, banners, signage, and other operational infrastructure.
  • Participate in general cleaning and facility upkeep.
  • Assist with snow shoveling and winter operations during the ski season.
  • Perform accounts payable (AP) and other administrative functions as assigned.

Team Collaboration
  • Work effectively with individuals from a variety of departments and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take on tasks outside normal responsibilities.
  • Support a positive team culture by contributing wherever needed, including performing physically demanding or routine tasks.
  • Adapt quickly to changing operational needs, weather conditions, and business demands.
