Job description

The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College seeks a qualified candidate for a full-time (12 month), tenure-track faculty position in the Holzer School of Nursing. Academic rank (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) based on qualifications.
Rio is seeking an experienced nurse educator with a record of teaching in RN-BSN and ADN programs. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
The standard load is 24 hours per academic year with additional responsibilities to include student advising/mentoring, participation in departmental activities, scholarship/research, and/or University or community service. The successful candidate will plan, implement, and evaluate instruction using online, hybrid, and traditional teaching delivery modalities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Earned Masters in Nursing by the time of the appointment
  • At least two years of experience in the Nursing Field
  • Eligible for Ohio RN license

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master in Nursing Education, Doctorate in nursing or related field, a minimum of five years of teaching, clinical, and leadership experience, and evidence of scholarship.
  • Experience in areas including Behavioral and Mental Health Nursing, Medical-Surgical nursing, Research, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Leadership.
