Position Description
Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law (McGeorge), invites applications for a faculty position as Assistant Professor of Law, Legal Practice in our legal writing program, Global Lawyering Skills. The candidate hired into this position will teach some of their courses in the Global Lawyering Skills program, a three-semester program focused on legal research,
writing, analysis, oral advocacy, and other lawyering skills. A record of teaching and scholarship is preferred, and all candidates should be eager to join a collegial, intellectually engaged, and student-oriented faculty. We anticipate that this position will be offered based initially on term contracts but on a track to lead to an indefinite-term contract.

Our programs in international law, advocacy and dispute resolution, and government lawyering are innovative and well known. Hiring Range
$130,000-$160,000 We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
