Position/Rank Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (DOQ) Department 00228 - Dermatology City Salt Lake City, UT Track Tenure Track New Position to Begin Details
The Department of Dermatology at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine invites applications for a new tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, focused on advancing research in allergy and immunology. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work bridges basic and translational science in immunology with relevance to skin, allergic disease, autoimmune disorders of the skin, and/or cutaneous oncology. Areas of interest include but are not limited to immunologic mechanisms of skin and allergic diseases, integration of molecular and genomic techniques with clinical data, mucosal immunology, and skin reactions to cancer therapy.
Applicants should have a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding appropriate to their career stage. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and sustain an independent, externally funded research program that aligns with departmental and institutional strengths. A collaborative spirit and interest in interdisciplinary research are highly valued. Candidates must hold an MD, PhD, MD/PhD. Preference may be given to clinician-scientists. Faculty rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position includes a competitive salary, a robust start-up package, and future opportunity for a named Chair appointment. The selected candidate will be encouraged to collaborate with faculty within the Department of Dermatology and across the University of Utah's extensive clinical and research networks.
