Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Scheduler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create plan to develop shop personnel to produce maximum efficiency; directing and overseeing labor according to production schedule.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of production schedules or work orders to departments.
  • Maintain manpower requirements through adequate staffing, training, and production forecasting.
  • Review manufacturing plans and communicates with engineering when plans are not correct as it pertains to build.
  • Review nest programs for excessive stock, incorrect parts being sent to plasma tables.
  • Work with material mover to ensure timely delivery of materials to required workstation based on production schedule needs
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure part availability aligns with required build schedule
  • Work with engineering, purchasing, and vendors to ensure external parts are correct and are ordered or meeting delivery dates
  • Notify production manager of delays
  • Assist in performance tracking as part of identifying bottle necks

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Familiarity with operating a forklift and crane for material handling
  • Competency in using hand tools for metalworking tasks
  • Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculation
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing and/or Scheduling experience.
  • Experience with production scheduling software and tools
  • Proven experience in production scheduling or planning.
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results.
  • Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field and/or Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., CPIM, APICS).
