What Does an Assistant Producer Do?

As an assistant producer, you provide administrative and creative support to the producer of a film or TV production. Your job duties include organizing production activities, assisting with the management of the production budget, and participating in the post-production process. To become an assistant producer, you typically need a bachelor’s degree in film, theatre, or the arts and experience with TV and film productions. Additional qualifications include excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, as well as keen attention to detail.
