Position Overview:
INNIO is hiring a Work Preparator in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to support service operations for Jenbacher engines. This role ensures all necessary parts, tools, and third-party services are in place for field service events, while coordinating logistics, documentation, and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, experience with Oracle ERP, and excellent customer service skills to help deliver efficient and high-quality service.
Role & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the assistant and representative to the Field Service Staff Manager.
  • Identify and order required parts, tools, and third-party services using technical knowledge of service activities.

  • Manage materials and external resources with cost-efficiency in mind.
  • Monitor scheduled and unscheduled service resources to optimize utilization.
  • Document all service events and tasks in Oracle ERP.
  • Update unit BOMs promptly after service execution.
  • Upload service-related data (e.g., POs, budgets, reports) into relevant systems.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and EHS guidelines for internal and external resources.
  • Ensure Field Service Technicians follow all processes and business standards.
  • Handle customer interactions professionally and proactively.
  • Track and document unplanned work during service events.
  • Request quotes for transactional services.
  • Contribute to service team KPIs and recommend operational improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.


Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, combined with relevant technical/business experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience working on Jenbacher engines.
  • Strong understanding of service operations across all product variants, including parts and equipment planning.
  • Technical knowledge of reciprocating engines (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP, Microsoft Office, and technical databases.
  • Analytical mindset with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proven customer service abilities and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Effective communication skills at the operational level, both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of customer requirements and service expectations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for site and vendor visits.
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Must reside in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area.
