Job description

JOB LOCATION: 422 N Holly Ave, Siler City, NC 27344

Orthodontic Assistant Duties

Clinical Procedures:

· Placement, adjustment and removal of orthodontic appliances (braces, aligners, wires, color ties) under the supervision of orthodontist.

Diagnostic/Progress/Final Records:

· X-rays (panoramic/cephalometric), extraoral and intraoral photographs & digital scans and/or impressions.

Patient Care & Education:

· Preparing patients for treatment, instructing on proper oral hygiene with appliances, and answering questions.

Sterilization & Setup:

· Sterilizing instruments, maintaining and setting up treatment rooms to ensure a clean, safe environment.

Lab Work:

· Performing in-office laboratory tasks, such as fabricating Essix retainers or study models.

Administrative Tasks:

· Managing appointment flow and documenting treatment progress accurately. Scheduling patient appointments and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Inventory & Supplies:

· Manage and order inventory.

Orthodontic Assistant Qualifications

  • MINIMUM of 1 Year ORTHODONTIC chair-side experience REQUIRED

· DA II (preferred); DA I must have radiology certification

· CPR Certification

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Maintain organized and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to follow instruction and work collaboratively

· Professional, well-organized, and detail-oriented

· Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies
