Legal Assistant | Phoenix AZ Onsite | $18/hr W2
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85012 - 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: $18/hr W2 (1099 option available at $20/hr)
Job Type: Contract

About the Role
SunSoft Online is seeking Legal Assistants for a contract opportunity with an Arizona state agency in Phoenix. In this role, you will review court documents from various Arizona counties to determine whether proposed allegations were adjudicated or dismissed, coordinate with field staff to obtain supporting documentation, and categorize allegations using a tier-based classification system.

What You Will Do
- Review court documents and petitions to determine case outcomes
- Reach out to field staff to identify documentation needed to support case records
- Apply a tier classification system to categorize allegations accurately
- Research and review records across a large volume of case files
- Maintain accurate documentation and data entry

Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand court language and petitions
- Strong reading comprehension
- Computer skills and literacy
- Some college preferred
- Local to the Phoenix metro area (current city and state must be on resume)
- Available for an in-person interview within 1 week
- Able to start within 2 weeks of an offer
