Facility Services maintains LSU's buildings, utility systems, and grounds. The Customer Service Center (CSC) serves as the primary point of contact for the campus community, coordinating service requests, supporting the daily operations of Facility Services, and coordinating facility-related support for campus events. The CSC is staffed seven days a week and plays a critical role in supporting emergency response efforts and LSU's Emergency Operations Center. This public-facing position requires excellent customer service skills and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of work order data while providing support during and outside of normal University business hours as needed.

Job Duties:

Collaboration: Serves as the Facility Services Event contact for campus. Works directly with crews and external customers to facilitate and coordinate events on campus. Maintains the event calendar on behalf of Facility Services. Assists with the planning, setup and cleanup of Facility Services events such as the monthly birthday celebrations, and other department wide events. - 25%

Work Flow & Customer Service: Assists department in the administration and management of the FAMIS work order system to ensure smooth workflow between departments. Ensures accurate daily data entry and maintains work order integrity by attaching supporting documentation such as specifications, diagrams, instructions, and related materials. Assists the campus community by creating and managing work orders, researching system issues, and properly assigning work to the appropriate crews. Answer calls, help patrons at the front desk, respond to emails. Queries the FAMIS database and generates reports as requested by supervisor. Ensures correct accounting and billing types are assigned to work orders within FAMIS. - 25%

Maintain the key pickup and return procedures for campus keys issued through Facility Services. Ensure proper documentation and integrity in the chain of custody for keys is maintained by student workers and Customer Service employees.- 25%

Serves as the primary point of contact within the Customer Service Center for all training and on-boarding processes for full-time staff and student workers. Assist departmental leadership with the supervision of the student worker staff. - 15%

Assist with invoicing when needed. Maintain inventory of supply cabinet and work with Assistant Director to order supplies as needed. Serve in the Emergency Operations staffing rotation when needed. Other duties as assigned.- 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in related field.

Related experience and some experience with Microsoft Office Suite products.
