Description:
The Porter & Barback is responsible for ensuring that the Club bar and facilities are clean, properly stocked and maintained, and prepared for guest use in accordance with state, federal, and Company guidelines.
This position is not a security position and in no way is authorized to address or intervene in any type of guest relations situation. The General Manager, Restaurant Manager, Nightclub Manager or Executive Team at large are the only authorized individuals to address or intervene in any type of guest relations situation.
Position duties and responsibilities includes, but are not limited to the following:
Work Duties and Responsibilities
1)Use the Club Opening and Closing Checklists on a nightly basis to track completion of opening and closing procedures. This includes, but is not limited to routine opening and closing duties, cleaning (inside/outside), and special event set-up and closing duties.
2)To create the best guest experience and cultivate customer return.
3)Ensure the Tapas bar, Patio, Club, and Club wash rooms are clean, free from safety hazards, properly stocked, and well maintained at all times.
4)Conduct frequent club inspections for cleanliness and safety. Immediately address areas that are not up to Sevilla standards.
5)Stock bars with ice and supplies as necessary.
6)Assist Bartenders with work tasks as requested.
7)Assist the VIP Cocktail Servers with all VIP Tables and additional tasks as requested. This includes, but is not limited to the following: bringing juices and ice to tables upon arrival, table maintenance such as removing trash, bringing additional supplies, etc.
8)Maintaining clean and presentable work area.
9)Encouraging additional sales to the guest when possible.
10)Assist with closing procedures for the Cocktail Servers and Bartenders when necessary.
11)Ensure every guest is having an enjoyable & memorable experience at Sevilla.
12)Watch for underage drinking at all times.
13)Immediately report any maintenance, security, and/or safety issues or concerns to a manager.
14)Recommend process improvements to a manager and participate in implementing approved process improvements as appropriate.
15)Inform Management of any additional resources needed- if overwhelmed and cannot give service to Sevilla expectation, ask for assistance.
16)TEAM WORK- Always keep a positive work attitude and friendly (approachable) demeanor with the ability to work well with coworkers and as a team when necessary. ONE TEAM, ONE MISSION
17)Knowledge of all Best Practices applicable to job code.
18)Completion of all assigned training tests & courses.
19)Player's list- aware of all details on the Nightclub Player's List.
20)Adhere to uniform expectation for the position per Sevilla Handbook and company policy.
21)Other duties as assigned by a Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
1)Clock-in and out for each work shift properly. Clock-in upon arrival, clock-out when leaving for meal period (or other personal time away from work), clock-in upon return from meal period (or other personal time away from work), and clock-out when the work shift is ended and no more work tasks will be performed. Immediately notify a manager if a clock-in or clock-out is missed or incorrectly recorded.
2)All breaks must be taken per company policy as outlined in Sevilla Handbook.
3)Take a meal period when 6 or more hours are worked in one work shift. Start the meal period no later than the 5th hour of work. 30 minute and 10 minute breaks are to be clocked into Aloha when taken. For 30-minute meal period, the posted break log is to be signed as well.
4)Immediately notify a Manager is you feel you are not able to take a meal period or a 10-minute break for any reason.
5)Attend and participate in all mandatory staff meetings.
6)Report suspicions of Harassment, Discrimination, retaliation and/or safety issues immediately to Manager.

Education/Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years related nightclub experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Ability
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Company operations, safety, finance, and human resource documents
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests
Reasoning Ability
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions
Computer Skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
• E-Mail communication skills
• Working knowledge or ability to learn Aloha
Work Environment
