Job description

Ada Bible Church is seeking a part-time creative individualto join our Communications Team as a Design Resident. This Residency offers a unique opportunity to work and grow alongside our Communications Team, while creating original artwork and digital assets that engage the congregation and communicate the mission of Ada Bible Church.
About Ada Bible's Residency Program
Ada Bible Church's Residency Program exists to help individuals pursue God's call to vocational ministry through hands-on ministry experience, intentional leadership development, and a deepening relationship with Jesus. Residents are challenged to grow not only in skill and responsibility, but also as leaders, servants, and faithful followers of Christ.
You will be able to apply concepts you have learned in your education or other jobs in a real-word professional setting while sharing your insights and contributing fresh ideas to the work of Ada Bible Church's Communications Team. Bi-weekly on Thursday mornings (11am-12:30pm) you be meeting with the other ministry residents at Ada Bible Church for spiritual formation, leadership and ministry development.
What you will do:
Design Support

  • Support the creative team in the following areas
    • Photo Research for design projects and sermon series
    • Support for weekly tasks such as internal signage, sermon slides
    • Participation in creative brainstorming for major church projects.
Asset Creation
  • Translate design assets into usable design templates for use by Ada Bible Church ministries.
  • Provide design support for ministry specific needs.
  • Create ministry specific templates for common design requests
Asset Organization
  • Assist in identifying and organizing photographic assets for Ada Bible Church.
  • Assist in organizing and updating design files
You might be a good candidate for the position if you have:
  • Must be enrolled in a college degree-granting program in design, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • A desire to use marketing and design skills for non-profit, NGO or church careers.
  • 2 years of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with communications, graphic design, or social media coordination.
  • Diverse portfolio of high-quality design work in multiple mediums (video, photo and graphics).
