SUMMARY OF POSITION: Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics and the Head Men's and Women's Swim Coach at Converse University, the Assistant Men's and Women's Swim Coach implements and helps manage all phases of a competitive Men's and Women's Swimming program in accordance with NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and Converse University regulations through a courteous, helpful, unbiased and professional manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Men's and Women's Swim Coach helps provide overall management, guidance, and strategy development for the Men's and Women's Swimming program. The Assistant Men's and Women's Swim Coach will help implement and manage all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA, Conference Carolinas, and Converse University regulations.Team Management - (35%)Assist in providing leadership and direction for both athletic teams, as well as to the individual team membersAssist and/or lead team and individual coaching and instruction training sessionsAssist the Head Coach in monitoring study hall of student-athletesPromote and develop a positive, united team culture that contributes positively to the overall campus culture of Converse University.Assist the Head Coach in providing regular support and direction to student-athletes.Prioritize and drive retention of student-athletesAssist in managing team's social media accountsAssist the Head Coach in promoting and monitoring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all student-athletesAssist the Head Coach in planning and implementing procedures for home and away contests including but not limited to: food and travel arrangements, cash requests, setup, and scheduling officialsRecruiting -
