Miller Pipeline is hiring a Continuous Improvement (CI) Coordinator to support 6S activities across the organization to drive safety and efficiency through workplace organization. This role will also:
  • Serve as a Continuous Improvement (CI) change agent, facilitating 6S activities across the organization to drive safety and efficiency through workplace organization.
  • Participate and lead CI events intended to review and refine processes through data.
  • Develop recommendations and present summary findings to department leadership.
  • Share success stories across the organization.
  • Champion continuous improvement and lean across the organization; identify, train, and coach 6S champion resources, enabling them to lead 6S events on their own.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the 6S Subject Matter Expert for the company.
  • Solicit feedback from subject matter experts on 6S events and translate into ideas to improve; elevate ideas to leadership for approval and implementation.
  • Support idea implementation and further refinement.
  • Apply Lean tools to solve problems at the regional level with consideration of strategic corporate objectives.
  • Follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and track sustainment through audits and checklists.
  • Collaborate with operational areas to develop and maintain performance metrics, measurements, methods and targets.
  • Use lean and continuous improvement tools such as process flow charts, checklists, templates, and guides to assist Miller Pipeline associates in implementing defined processes.
  • Communicate progress, roadblocks and achievements with all stakeholders.
  • Capture, document and share best practices; transfer data across the region; enable and encourage stakeholders across the region to adopt best practices.
  • Proactively encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in identifying and enabling other Lean leaders and 6S Champions in achieving the company's vision of success.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' professional work experience with some exposure to continuous improvement concepts and principles.
  • Ability to travel frequently by vehicle and/or airplane (80%), including overnight travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong math skills and effective written communication.
  • Ability to build relationships in cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Enjoy working with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional follow through.
  • Highly self-motivated.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field from an accredited university.
  • Project lead and reporting.
  • Experience with Miller Pipeline's operations and/or CI processes.
  • MS Visio; Monday.com; Sharepoint; MS Teams.
