SUMMARY

The Retail Assistant Manager assists in supervising and coordinating activities of workers and managing day to day operation in Goodwill’s retail store. The Retail Assistant Manager supports efficient store operations through staff supervision, inventory oversight, and exceptional customer service to ensure a productive and positive shopping environment. The Retail Assistant Manager is responsible for reaching sales quotas and goals by performing the following duties:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Assigns duties, schedules shifts and breaks, and ensures adequate floor coverage
  • Trains and supervises staff on store policies and job duties
  • Orders and inspects merchandise, supplies, and equipment
  • Tracks deliveries, check for accuracy and reports discrepancies
  • Ensures items are properly stocked, priced, and displayed
  • Ensures accuracy in sales, cash handling, and daily deposits
  • Handles complaints and returns professionally
  • Assist with customer service and sales as needed
  • Communicates regularly with the Store Manager, Sales Leads, Production Supervisor, and Director of Operations/Retail
  • Follow all company and safety policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
