About Waxing the City: we're passionate about delivering top-quality waxing services in a clean, professional, and welcoming environment. We take pride in providing an exceptional customer experience and fostering a positive team atmosphere. We're excited to expand our independently owned franchise into the growing Cypress area and are looking for a motivated Salon Assistant Manager to lead our team in our brand-new studio opening January 2025. (The Assistant Manager will begin training in early December).
Job Description: As the Salon Assistant Manager at Waxing the City, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations, leading a team of Cerologists® (waxing technicians), and driving the salon's success. Your responsibilities will be split between executing management tasks and providing support on the salon floor, ensuring smooth operations and a top-tier client experience. You will report to the directly to the District Manager and the Owner. We envision this dynamic, adaptable individual to quickly become the Manager of the studio.
Responsibilities: Lead, train, and motivate a team of estheticians. Manage daily salon operations and maintain cleanliness to our very high standards making certain the studio is in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Ensure exceptional customer service, handling client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner. Optimize productivity and drive retail sales to meet financial targets. Continuously maintain and strengthen our culture and team spirit. Work closely with the Owner/District Manager to meet business goals and uphold salon standards. With the support of your management team, we will expect you to conduct performance reviews, coaching, and aid in staff development; Manage the studios social media presence and community outreach to promote the salon and engage clients, as well as implement marketing/promotional strategies to attract and retain clients.
Requirements: TX Esthetician or Cosmetology license required. Significant experience in the beauty/salon industry and at least 1+ year of supervisory experience. Experience in social media and community outreach is a plus as we will be opening a new studio. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Passion for the beauty industry, and waxing in particular, with a commitment to providing a superior client experience.
