Heartwood, a senior living facility located in Crosby, MN is urgently seeking a Housekeeper!

Schedule: Day shift, 8 shifts (64 hours) every two weeks including every fourth weekend. Possibility of picking up additional shifts. We will train - prior experience not required.

Competitive Pay: $17.95 - $20.15 per hour depending on experience.

The housekeeping services staff are responsible for maintaining and assuring uncompromising levels of cleanliness in work areas, buildings and grounds.  The housekeeping services staff are responsible for maintaining an attractive and comfortable home in an environment consistent with regulations and established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:

  1. Responsible for cleaning resident rooms and common areas. When working in resident areas, you are a guest in their home. Respect resident time and property; treat them with courtesy and respect their personal belongings. Maintain effective communication systems with all customers and co-workers.
  2. Clean designated areas such as resident living spaces, common areas, and other areas as assigned. Duties may include but are not limited to: general cleaning, floor care, washing, sanitizing, polishing furniture/fixtures, waste removal, stocking supplies, cleaning windows, collecting laundry from resident rooms and designated areas, sorting, distributing linens, and resident personal clothing per assigned schedule, ironing articles as required, inspecting laundry and linen, informing supervisor of replacement needs for communication with residents/families, and other duties as assigned. Ensure that housekeeping and laundry supplies are replenished in work areas.  Ensure that equipment, tools, and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at the end of each shift.
  3. As a member of the team, actively participate in Heartwood activities, meetings and processes. Effectively collaborate with other staff to promote the overall cleanliness of the building and the residents’ total well-being. Assist in the orientation of new team members as assigned.  Assist fellow team members with the completion of their work when assigned or needed.
  4. Follow established policies, procedures and practices. Complete job responsibilities efficiently and effectively. Pace work according to a schedule in order to complete tasks in a timely manner. Provide proper documentation of work per established procedures.  Use and support the quality process to meet customer needs. Apply the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully perform all job functions.  Be knowledgeable of chemicals and equipment and how to use them safely. Maintain knowledge of organization and industry policies and practices.
  5. Demonstrate good stewardship of available resources (supplies, utilities, time).   Assist with tracking, receiving, and monitoring of equipment and supplies.
  6. Demonstrate positive energy; accept responsibility; demonstrate consistency between words and actions, keep commitments; demonstrate high standard of honesty, integrity, trust and respect for others.
