A few details about the role:

  • Operate washer, dryer, and iron to provide clean resident and community laundry and linen.
  • Sort laundry from dryer and fold, wrap or hang items; distribute laundry to community storage areas and residents.
  • Collect and transport soiled laundry from various areas of the community to the laundry room following department procedures,
  • Adhere to departmental policies involving risk of exposure to bodily fluids and foster proper precautions when cleaning clothing, linen, and isolation laundry.
  • Ensure all resident laundry is properly labeled to allow for proper redistribution.
  • Maintain par inventory levels of community laundry such as bed sheets and towels; notify supervisor of shortages.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance of laundry equipment while reporting any observations concerning structural equipment wear defects or malfunctioning equipment.
