Description

The Landscape Technician supports routine maintenance across assigned bank locations, focusing on grass, trees, shrubs, and ground cover. In winter months, duties may expand to include light building maintenance, basic carpentry repairs, and cleaning to ensure consistent year-round work.

In this role you will respond to colleague and business requested work orders and have a routine schedule of work orders to complete.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Work with the landscaping team in daily tasks. Assist as needed for scheduled/unscheduled absences. Help with equipment maintenance and repairs. Assist Landscape Manager and Landscape Tech Lead with coordination of deliveries.
  • Follow proper training and best practices in equipment use, maintenance and daily tasks. Work day-to-day grounds keeping operations of multiple retail banking and main office facilities. 
  • Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties as required. Assist in mowing lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmower when needed to expedite work orders or cover for colleagues on PTO. Recommend specific plants, trees, grass, or other landscape features dependent on local site conditions and established Citizens standards.
  • Landscape by planting, trimming, and maintaining flower beds, grass, shrubs, bushes, and small trees. Shovel snow from walkways and apply anti-skid as needed; Clean parking lots, sidewalks, and all exterior areas while performing routine grounds keeping.
  • Perform spring and fall cleanups to remove excess debris, leaves, and trim landscaping. Install new hardscaping, river rock, fencing, signage, and other furnishings as required. Pressure wash building exterior and refresh parking lot painting as needed. Clean gutters and roof drains of debris.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping. Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and utilized in a safe manner consistent with established standards.
  • Close out work orders upon completion via iPad or Computerized Maintenance Management System. Respond to emergency and non-emergency service requests and prioritize work order response. Communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of landscape maintenance experience required, including zero-turn mower operation
  • Ability to travel using a company sanctioned vehicle (ex: box truck/pickup truck) as required
  • Ability to plan & prioritize daily responsibilities with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills along with proven positive customer service experience 
  • Intermediate or higher-level expertise using iPad, smart phones, computer/laptops, & MS Outlook
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without any accommodation or assistance and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions at varying heights (ladders, roof top, etc.) as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated job stability
  • Prior commercial landscape work experience

Education, Licensures, & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Valid active State Driver's License required
  • OSHA or Landscape related certifications preferred

Hours & Work Schedule:

  • Hours per Week: 40 hrs./week
  • Work Schedule: M-F 7:00am - 3:30 pm ET and may include occasional voluntary OT evenings or weekends

The salary range for this position is $21.50 - $28.00 per hour. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
