Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Granite Curb Foreman to lead and supervise granite curb installation crews on commercial, municipal, and site-development projects. The Foreman will be responsible for coordinating daily field operations, directing employees and equipment, maintaining quality and productivity, and ensuring work is completed safely and according to project specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing granite curb and is comfortable leading a crew in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead granite curb installation crews in the field.

  • Read and interpret plans, layouts, grades, and project specifications.

  • Coordinate daily work activities with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades.

  • Establish and maintain proper grades, elevations, lines, and curb alignment.

  • Oversee excavation, preparation, setting, and installation of granite curb.

  • Operate or direct the operation of equipment used for curb installation and site preparation.

  • Ensure proper bedding, base preparation, joint spacing, alignment, and finished appearance.

  • Measure and verify work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.

  • Manage crew productivity and assign tasks efficiently.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.

  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.

  • Monitor materials, tools, equipment, and deliveries needed for the job.

  • Communicate project issues, delays, material needs, and field conditions to management.

  • Coordinate with equipment operators and laborers to keep projects moving efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience working around excavators, skid steers, saws, compactors, and other construction equipment.

  • Ability to use basic measuring and layout tools.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to report to various job sites.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and work with heavy construction materials.

  • Valid driver's license preferred.
