Position Overview
The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and orderliness in and around the distribution center. This role supports both interior and exterior facility care, including sanitation tasks, light maintenance, and seasonal snow/ice removal. The Sanitation Associate plays a key part in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for associates, visitors, and vendors.
What you'll do:
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse floors, breakroom, restrooms, conference room, offices, and other common areas
  • Remove refuse and cardboard from offices and building daily; dispose of shrink wrap and other debris properly
  • Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment as needed
  • Support exterior upkeep, including removal of snow and ice, sweeping walkways, and keeping entryways clear and safe
  • Assist with light facilities maintenance (e.g., trash removal, minor repairs, landscaping support)
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment according to OSHA regulations, housekeeping requirements, and SiteOne quality standards
  • Partner with operations and facilities teams to ensure sanitation and safety standards are met
  • Other general duties as assigned

Skills We Are Seeking
  • 0-6 months of general warehouse or sanitation experience (preferred, not required)
  • Comfort using cleaning equipment and basic tools (e.g., floor scrubbers, snow blowers, hand tools)
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Must be willing to complete forklift training within the first 30 days of employment; certification on multiple pieces of equipment is rewarded with additional pay.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on feet (standing/walking) for up to 90% of the shift
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
