Job Scope:


The Inventory Manager is responsible for coordinating and supporting the integrity, accuracy, and performance of the company's inventory across physical operations and the Epicor ERP system. This role works collaboratively across departments to support inventory decisions that balance operational needs and inventory investment.

This position serves as the primary point of coordination and accountability for monitoring inventory data, identifying discrepancies or trends, and guiding continuous improvement effort, while balancing operational awareness with data-driven insight to help maintain strong processes and support the company's continued growth.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with warehouse, purchasing, and accounting teams to maintain accurate inventory records across physical operations and the Epicor ERP system
  • Provide direct day-to-day support through development and management of Warehouse and Material Movement teams while promoting accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a visible presence to ensure inventory processes are followed and discrepancies are addressed at their source
  • Integrate software solutions with our ERP system, automating workflows, and improving core business processes related to parts logistics where applicable.
  • Support and guide inventory control procedures to ensure consistency and reliability
  • Oversee cycle count and physical inventory processes, working alongside the team to investigate and resolve discrepancies 
  • Help ensure alignment between inventory records and financial reporting
  • Monitor inventory levels, turnover trends, and inventory performance to support informed purchasing and production planning
  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain appropriate inventory levels while supporting operational efficiency and inventory investment strategies
  • Identify patterns or risks related to excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory and recommend practical solutions
  • Generate and review inventory reports within Epicor to provide visibility into stock movement and trends
  • Share insights with operations and leadership to support planning and forecasting
  • Assist in evaluating how inventory performance impacts margins and overall business results
  • Serve as a resource and point of coordination for inventory-related questions and system processes
  • Support communication with vendors regarding delivery performance, shortages, and quality concerns
  • Provide reporting insights to assist with vendor evaluation and supply planning
  • Participate in and, when appropriate, lead special projects that support operational efficiency, data integrity, and process improvement
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with leadership to implement practical solutions
