Role: Inventory Control Clerk I
Location: North Chicago, IL
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Inventory Control Clerk I to support inventory control, order processing, and distribution operations. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy across multiple systems, investigating discrepancies, managing product status changes, and supporting warehouse, quality, and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with experience in inventory management and ERP systems.Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit inventory records in Manhattan, SAP, and ADMS to maintain system accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies during daily order processing.
  • Process rejected, expired, short-dated, quarantined, and reworked materials.
  • Manage customer order queues and release deliveries to meet shipping requirements.
  • Resolve inventory-related order holds and process order cancellations as needed.
  • Monitor system error logs and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Compile, analyze, and report key distribution and inventory metrics.
  • Support distribution and receiving operations during peak demand periods.
  • Assist with employee training and cross-functional operational activities.
  • Maintain compliance with quality system requirements and company procedures.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution environments.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Manhattan, ADMS, or similar inventory management systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience handling inventory audits, cycle counts, and order processing.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in cold storage/freezer environments (-20°C or colder).
