Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) Superintendent / Foreman to lead field installation crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for supervising day-to-day jobsite operations, ensuring high-quality installation of insulated metal panel systems, and maintaining project safety and schedule.

The ideal candidate has strong experience installing IMP systems and proven leadership ability to manage crews, coordinate with project teams, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead Field Operations
  • Supervise and lead installation crews for insulated metal panel systems
  • Plan and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient project progress
  • Train and mentor installers on proper installation methods
  • Maintain high productivity while ensuring safety and quality standards
Installation Oversight
  • Ensure IMP systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications and construction documents
  • Oversee panel layout, fastening, flashing, and sealing details
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper alignment, weatherproofing, and system performance
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and implement solutions
Project Coordination
  • Work closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
  • Review drawings, shop drawings, and specifications before installation
  • Assist with installation planning and sequencing
  • Participate in jobsite meetings when required
Safety Leadership
  • Promote and enforce company safety standards and OSHA regulations
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Ensure all crew members follow PPE requirements and safe work practices
Materials & Equipment
  • Coordinate delivery, staging, and protection of materials
  • Track material usage and report shortages or damage
  • Ensure safe operation of lifts, tools, and equipment
Reporting
  • Provide daily progress updates to project management
  • Track labor productivity and crew hours
  • Document field conditions, issues, and changes
QualificationsExperience
  • 5+ years experience installing insulated metal panel systems
  • Experience supervising installation crews preferred
  • Background in commercial or industrial construction
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of IMP systems, flashing, trim, and weatherproofing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Problem‑solving ability in fast‑paced field environments
Certifications (Preferred)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Aerial lift and forklift certification
  • First Aid / CPR
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work at heights using lifts and scaffolding
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
