Recruiting Firm, Riderflex has been hired by our client, Root & Bloom, to find their HR Generalist.
Location: Salisbury, MA
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite
Compensation: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour

Location: Salisbury, MA
Root & Bloom is seeking an organized, motivated, bilingual HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This is an onsite role supporting our Salisbury headquarters and is initially intended as a temporary-to-hire opportunity with the potential to become a long-term position.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance recruiting, employee support, HR administration, and compliance. While HR experience is preferred, we are also open to candidates with strong administrative experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.What You'll Do
  • Lead recruiting efforts and build candidate pipelines.
  • Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Maintain employee records within the HRIS system.
  • Administer employee benefits, leaves of absence, and accommodations.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and benefits activities.
  • Support employee relations by responding to employee questions and concerns.
  • Coach managers on employee relations and performance management.
  • Assist with performance improvement plans and employee development.
  • Process background checks and state badging requirements.
  • Help prepare weekly payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Partner with the Safety Committee to support a safe workplace.
  • Assist with additional HR and administrative projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • 2 to 5 years of HR Generalist experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws.
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Payroll experience is a plus.
  • HR certification is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
