Job description

The Hardware Manager evaluates and analyzes the productivity and performance of the hardware department. Assists with other administrative and managerial duties as required.

Essential Functions
•    Review and report on the monthly performance of the company's key shop and hardware departments
•    Create activity reports and other performance measures to improve productivity and reduce losses
•    Create and review Work Orders for errors
•    Report errors to Branch Manager, Fulfillment Services Manager, and Project Manager assigned to the job/account
•    In conjunction with the Installation/Safety Manager, you will oversee compliance of corporate safety program for Hardware and Key shop
•    Work with Purchasing to manage and maintain stock inventory levels as well as expense items. Report shortages to Purchasing for reorder
•    Assist in the maintenance of Comsense operational menus including shipment, stock requisition, work order, purchase order, customer and vendor return, and work in process management
•    Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications
•    Minimum of 5 years of door, frame and hardware industry experience 
•    Experience working with ERP software 
•    Accurate mathematical and accounting skills 
•    Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•    Experience working in Comsense and Microsoft Office complete 
•    5 years of management experience preferred 
•    Knowledge of commercial door, frame, and hardware applications as they relate to UL, fire code, building code, ADA, life safety and other restrictions that relate to the general commercial construction industry
•    Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as positive interpersonal skills
•    Great attention to detail required
•    Goal oriented and driven

Work Environment 
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
