Group: Civil/SitePosition: Team Leader

Location: Indianapolis, IN (on site)

American Structurepoint is seeking a Team Leader to provide leadership, project oversight, and business unit management within the Civil Engineering Group. This role is responsible for guiding a team of professionals, managing complex projects, and driving client relationships to achieve revenue and growth objectives.

The Team Leader serves as a senior-level leader who combines technical expertise with strong management skills-ensuring project quality, profitability, and team development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 5+ staff members, providing direction and mentorship.
  • Oversee and manage more than $1M in annual project revenue.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, securing approximately $750K in annual revenue.
  • Manage and lead a business unit, including staffing, resource allocation, and performance oversight.
  • Perform final QA/QC reviews on complex civil engineering projects.
  • Manage multi-discipline projects from concept through completion.
  • Assist Group Leader with annual revenue forecasts and strategic planning.
  • Participate in hiring interviews and staff development initiatives.
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate internally and externally to ensure project success.
  • Mentor Project Managers and delegate tasks effectively to ensure team efficiency.
  • Support Group Leader with staff development and succession planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering and project management.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil/site design principles and multi-discipline coordination.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
