We are seeking a Staff Accountant who is adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous process improvement. This role will be responsible for supporting month-end close activities, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with special projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys analyzing financial data, and looks for opportunities to improve processes.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Subledger maintenance and reporting
  • Analyze financial reports and investigate fluctuations or inconsistencies, providing detailed explanations and insights
  • Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts as part of the month-end close process
  • Recommend and support process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Fixed asset management
  • Generate monthly reports for management review.
  • Assist the Controller with month-end close reporting & third-party audits
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate-level Excel skills and experience writing formulas
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple recurring deadlines
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with coding is a plus. (e.g., VBA Macros in Excel, creating SQL views )
  • Experience with Sage MAS 500, PowerBI, SAP Concur is a plus.
