What You'll Do
  • Oversee day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing and adherence to internal controls.
  • Manage daily cash operations, including cash positioning, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Manage the monthly and annual close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Develop and maintain schedules supporting all balance sheet accounts.
  • Support the Director of Finance and Accounting and accounting team in planning, developing, and evaluating the company's financial functions and performance.
  • Manage the annual financial statement audit and serve as a point of contact for external auditors.
  • Coordinate supporting schedules and documentation required for audits.
  • Manage annual tax filings and related compliance requirements, coordinating with outside tax advisors as needed.
  • Support the preparation and accuracy of monthly financial statements, financial reporting, and analysis for leadership.
  • Maintain appropriate financial controls that support company growth and profitability objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen regulatory, financial, and tax compliance while improving efficiency.
  • Support improvements to non-financial reporting, systems, and processes.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with employees, management, executives, vendors, customers, auditors, and other external partners.
  • Promote integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct while championing KURU's values, mission, and vision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience required.
  • 1–3 years of NetSuite experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliations.
  • Experience managing the monthly and annual accounting close process.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately present financial information.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active CPA or desire to earn a CPA credential.
  • Experience supporting or managing external financial statement audits.
  • Experience with corporate tax filings and outside tax advisors.
  • Experience improving accounting processes, systems, controls, and reporting.
Physical & Work Requirements

Work is generally performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to sit for extended periods, use a computer, communicate by telephone, and perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.

The position may also require grasping, pushing, and reaching with the arms or hands and occasionally moving objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
