Job description

Overview
This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail (location specific).
  • Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning
  • Assists in basic maintenance
  • Compliance with all the Company's safety programs and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is
  • One (1) year of grain industry experience is

Skills
  • Basic written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious
  • Ability to work in a quality-controlled

Physical Requirments
  • Regularly walk, bend and
  • Regularly required to walk on catwalks at a variety of heights; up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
  • Regularly climbs stairs and
  • Regularly lifts up to 75
  • Regularly enters and works in confined
