Job description

Carlton Fields is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant for its Miami office.

The ideal candidate must have at least three years of legal administrative experience supporting attorneys in business transactions, tax, and probate matters. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; proficiency in French is a plus.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and strong organizational and communication skills. The ability to anticipate needs, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively is essential.

Qualified candidates must be proficient in or have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic document management systems. Experience with iManage is preferred.

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize a variety of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings and appointments, and coordinate complex travel arrangements.
  • Organize and maintain client files and records.
  • Prepare and electronically file probate court documents.
  • Enter attorney time, assist with client billing, and support billing-related processes.
  • Assist other assistants and attorneys, as necessary

Actual salaries will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of the Carlton Fields total compensation package for employees.
