Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support a Government Client by providing budget, financial management, and analytical support for regional operations. The successful candidate will assist with budget planning, financial reporting, funds tracking, reconciliation, and executive reporting while ensuring compliance with federal financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development, execution, and monitoring of annual and multi-year budgets.
  • Analyze financial data, expenditures, and budget trends to support management decision-making.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, budget summaries, and executive briefings.
  • Track obligations, expenditures, and available funding to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconcile financial records and identify discrepancies requiring corrective action.
  • Assist with budget formulation, execution, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with applicable federal policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding budget and financial matters.
  • Research financial issues and provide recommendations for improving financial processes.
  • Develop spreadsheets, presentations, and supporting documentation for leadership.
  • Maintain financial records, supporting documentation, and reporting databases.
  • Assist with special financial projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with multiple organizational components to accomplish mission objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project, program management, or related professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years conducting analytical and support activities related to budgeting, financial management, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of financial and technical data.
  • Ability to read and interpret management policies, regulations, and directives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience developing financial reports, spreadsheets, and executive presentations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
