Description

E&E Foods is launching a search for a seasonal Data Clerk/Office Assistant at our Pacific Star Seafoods plant in Kenai, Alaska. In this role, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of administrative functions in support of a seafood processing plant. This person is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining information in an accounting database or various spreadsheets. This person will have access to confidential company, fisher, and employee information and will be expected to uphold and demonstrate compliance with company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will:

Be self-directed, well-organized, have a strong attention to detail, and comfortable in a diverse working and living environment. They must possess good verbal & written communication skills. Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, is required

Requirements

Work with Office Manager, Fisher Accounts Manager, Logistics, employees and fishermen

Communicate clearly in an often-hectic environment

Maintain, file, and store digital information to track fish purchase from delivery to shipment

Fill in as Front desk/receptionist duties such as answering phones, greeting walk-ins, connecting people with the help they need, as needed during meal breaks or Front Desk attendant days off.

Assist in employee intake including document verification

Assist with pricing, entering charges into fisher accounts, and fish ticket reconciliations

Filing & data entry  

Any other administrative tasks assigned

Ability to prioritize tasks assigned by supervisors despite persistent interruptions

Possess a friendly demeaner and strong interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits: 

The starting wage is $17.91 to $20.00 per hour straight time and $26.86 to $30.00 per hour overtime. 

Round trip airfare from largest city near point of hire to plant location in Alaska 

Free room and board

Work Environment and Living Location: 

Must be able to sustain up to 10 hours/ 7 days-a-week work schedule for the duration of the season, approximately June 15th through August 20th.

Housing is dormitory style, and you may share a room with up to 3 people
