WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a member of the Ticket Office Event Staff, you'll support ticket operations during Brickyard Weekend. In this role, you'll assist guests, provide outstanding customer service, and help create a positive experience for fans attending one of the premier racing weekends at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide guests with a positive first impression of Indianapolis Motor Speedway by delivering friendly, professional service.
  • Assist guests with ticket purchases, exchanges, and questions while providing accurate information regarding Brickyard Weekend.
  • Accurately process ticket sales and payments using the IMS ticketing system.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the IMS facility, including grandstands, gates, parking areas, and event policies
  • Operate assigned ticket locations during event operations.
  • Maintain confidential customer and business information.
  • Communicate guest concerns or operational issues to supervisors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s).

FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL
  • No travel required.
  • Required ability includes Brickyard Weekend, including long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Work schedules vary based on event needs and department assignments.
  • Overtime may be required based on event operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds..
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking (as needed)
  • Assisting with event set-up and tear down may be requested.
  • Must be able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction and communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and be understood
  • Must have the stamina to work long hours and be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends or evenings

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Fast-paced, collaborative office and event settings.
  • Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on event assignments and operational needs
  • Staff will experience frequent interruptions and must be prepared to interact with others on a regular basis..
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud, due to professional racing events.
