THE ROLE

The individual will be responsible to lead and assist the Retail Store Manager in all aspects of Store Operations, Merchandising and People Development. Fast paced environment, multitasking and overall knowledge MLB Teams and Players.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drive sales through enhanced service and training of store team. Recruit, Interview, and hire.
  • Strong visual merchandising skills. Analysis of sales trends, reporting and replenishment.
  • Weekly scheduling, labor costs, budgets, and payroll reporting.
  • Marketing and Technology skills to assist with monthly instore video boards and social media.
  • Monthly supply ordering adhering to all budgets.
  • Relationships with all vendor partners internal and external
  • Adaptable to different company needs from i-store to events depending on time of year.
  • Positive spirit and motivational management style.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Flexible to work extended hours due to the needs of the business and events at the University of Michigan.
  • Must be able to work weekends during football season and select other weekends during the year.
  • Fast paced high energy with superb people skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years assistant manager experience supervising teams of 10+.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong skills in creating spreadsheets and reporting with Excel.
  • RFID experience suggested.
  • Nights and Weekends.
