Job description

Position: Graphic Designer
Reports To: Director of Communications
Objective:
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in shaping and communicating the vision of Community of Faith through compelling visual design and digital content. This role is responsible for leading and ensuring all graphic design efforts are consistent, engaging, and on-brand across all platforms.
Responsibilities:
Vision & Culture
  • Support and fulfill the vision, values, and goals of Community of Faith
  • Demonstrate loyalty and integrity, supporting the unity of the church and its leadership
  • Understand and align with the vision of COF, promoting this vision in every ministry context

Graphic Design & Brand Management
  • Design and maintain all branded COF materials in alignment with COF brand guidelines (event graphics, weekend guide, ministry branding, etc.)
  • Ensure brand consistency across all visual communications
  • Create graphics optimized for print, web, social media, and in-service display
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to produce high-quality materials at the best value
  • Maintain and organize all design files (including source files) within the Creative Team Google Drive

Website and COF Application Management
  • Maintain and update website and app content, graphics, and promotional assets using existing platforms and systems
  • Ensure digital platforms are visually engaging and user-friendly

Content Creation and Collaboration
  • Create or gather graphics and visual assets for upcoming events and initiatives
  • Assist in developing and executing creative campaigns for church-wide initiatives
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to support their communication and promotional needs
  • Participate in weekly creative team meetings for planning, collaboration, and vision alignment

Spiritual & Cultural Alignment
  • A growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A baptized believer who actively practices prayer and engagement with Scripture
  • Passion for the mission of the local church and helping people take next steps in their faith

Professional Skills and Experience
  • Strong graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong organizational and file management skills

Schedule & Expectations
  • Monday through Thursday: 9am - 4:00pm
  • Sunday: 8:00am - 1:00 pm
  • Participation in All Hands on Deck (AHOD) events
  • Occasional Saturdays and Wednesday evenings required for special events
  • Flexibility in schedule is expected due to the nature of ministry work
