Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted provider of commercial trade services, supporting new construction, tenant improvements, and a wide range of service projects. We are currently seeking a Plumbing Estimator Assistant to support the estimating team in preparing service estimates under the guidance of department management.


The ideal candidate will have understanding of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and applicable codes, along with experience contributing to accurate and competitive estimates for service work. In this role, you will assist in developing project estimates and change orders for a variety of commercial service projects. 


Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and review blueprints, project schematics and/or specifications to determine material and labor requirements
  • Prepare and submit plumbing proposals within the scope of commercial projects under the direction of management
  • Reference pricing quotes from internal departments, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Process a high volume of data entry to maintain and update estimating software and databases
  • Learn and apply new industry trends, materials, and best practices into estimates
  • Assist with processing commercial estimates for the maintenance department
  • Will be assigned additional clerical duties as needed to support the department

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in estimating commercial plumbing projects or similar industry 
  • Proficient knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Knowledge of local and national plumbing codes and regulations desired
  • Proficient utilizing estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient alpha-numeric data entry with the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
