Estimator

Job Title: Estimator
Salary Rate: $150,000 - $200,000 

My client is a top civil construction contractor who are looking for estimators located around any of their west coast offices to join their growing team. We are looking for an estimator with 3+ years of civil construction experience with experience with large earthwork projects and federal experience. If that sounds like you, lets connect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Utilize computerized bidding systems proficiently to streamline processes.
  • Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and cost information.
  • Coordinate pre-construction meetings and support project teams.
  • Maintain profitability standards and company goals consistently.
  • Attend company meetings and lead departmental meetings as required.
  • Handle customer requests professionally and promptly.
  • Manage business development activities and contract negotiations.
  • Follow up diligently on submitted proposals and prioritize bidding efforts.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote safety practices and compliance on job sites.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
  • 3+ years of civil construction estimating experience
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently securing profitable project awards.
  • Strong knowledge of excavating, equipment, and materials.
  • Proficient in computerized bidding systems
  • Experience with Agtek also beneficial
