Energy Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting energy-related data to support decision-making, efficiency improvements, and compliance for Gerdau's N.A. BASIC FUNCTION:
- The Analyst/Specialist is responsible for providing decision support through financial and situational analysis. This position supports Gerdau North American Energy and Industrial Gases Team reporting, analytics and special projects and is responsible for supporting the development of business intelligence solutions as well as providing analytical support to departments across the North American business units.
- The candidate develops and maintains effective business and professional contacts to keep abreast of market conditions, opportunities, and trends. The candidate will analyze opportunities, create models, develop talking points and other advocacy materials, prepare requests for proposals, contracts, studies of relevant issues, forecasts and maintain adequate files and records to compile periodic reports.
- Candidate studies and analyzes business unit consumption and requirements for energy and industrial gases as well as related Supplies. Assists the Energy Team in obtaining competitive bids as required and supports negotiations with supply arrangements under the direction of the Director of Energy.
- The candidate will assist in representing the company in commercial, regulatory, and governmental activities necessary to protect and further the interests of Gerdau in areas related to energy. The candidate will work with professionals, consulting resources and counsel where necessary to secure specialized assistance as required.
