Job Description
Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
Profession: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum 2 years required
License: Must have an active state license in hand to apply
Certifications: BLS required
Must-Have:
PICC line management experience
Experience with starting IVs
Willingness to care for trach and laryngectomy patients
Description:
Position available for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse.
The shift is 3x12 hours from 06:45 to 19:15.
The nurse will work every other weekend.
If requested time off falls on a weekend, the nurse will be scheduled per rotation and must make up additional weekend shifts.
Candidates must be willing to float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Experience with Cerner charting is preferred.
Candidates should be willing to take up to a 1:7 patient ratio if needed.
PICC line management and experience with starting IVs are required.
Experience taking care of trach and laryngectomy patients is not required but candidates must be willing to learn.
Candidates will be part of an interdisciplinary team.
Daily responsibilities may include dressing changes, drain removals, flush drains, and nasogastric tube insertion.
The role also includes blood transfusion, continuous bladder irrigation, and wound care.
Candidates should be familiar with special equipment such as intravenous infusion pumps and suction devices.
All applicants should commit to completing compliance needs in a timely manner.
Candidates will need to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
