Job description

The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and case support, including:

  • Scanning, organizing, and uploading documents into the firm’s case management system (CRM)
  • Processing and maintaining electronic client files
  • Transcribing attorney dictation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proofreading and editing legal correspondence and documents
  • Preparing and sending client letters, correspondence to attorneys, and court filings
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail (electronic and physical)
  • Printing, assembling, and copying legal documents and exhibits
  • Maintaining attorney calendars, including scheduling deadlines, hearings, and appointments
  • Tracking and entering case-related events and deadlines
  • Assisting with general office and administrative tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • Prior legal assistant, legal secretary, or office experience preferred
  • Strong typing and transcription skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and general office software
  • Experience with legal case management systems (Clio, Filevine, PracticeMaster, etc.) is a plus
  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
